DAMPAK KEKERASAN VERBAL DALAM TAYANGAN KOMEDI “PESBUKERS” DI ANTV (EPISODE 14-16, TAHUN 2019) BAGI ANAK USIA 10 TAHUN

Television is one of the most influential media in people's lives. The development of television shows from the past until now is very rapid, so that now private television stations have a variety of programs such as News, Infotainment, Soap operas, Reality shows, Talk shows, and Comedy shows. It is undeniable that comedy shows are one of the most needed shows to find entertainment that causes laughter. But it is unfortunate if the efforts made by television stations are not followed by the quality of the contents of the comedy shows. Now comedy shows are more focused on getting ratings, focused on making people interested in watching these shows, which indirectly they often insert words that contain elements of verbal violence such as insulting and threatening without regard to the impact that can occur when children and adolescents watch the impression. One of the comedy programs that often get a warning from KPI is Pesbukers, therefore this study aims to determine the impact of verbal violence on Pesbukers comedy shows that are more focused on episodes 14 to 16 in 2019 for children aged 10 years. Theories and research concepts used are mass communication and psychology of communication. Based on the results of data processing conducted by researchers using qualitative descriptive methods, it can be concluded that children tend to imitate verbal violence that appears in the comedy shows "Pesbukers" episodes 14 to 16, including categories of saying harsh words, threatening, and insulting. To deal with such undesirable things, the media also needs to provide breadth in terms of entertaining shows as well as educating children and adolescents. For example, making comedy shows that do not insert words that do not contain verbal violence. So this is what will be able to encourage children and adolescents to not use words that contain elements of verbal violence when they are joking with their friends. If this is done well, then the media has contributed fully to the formation of national identity.
